A simple but effective design from Nike. Not too much change from last years winning formula, the new shirt is light blue with slightly darker blue sleeve detail, 1 button Granddad collar, navy Nike Swoosh and sponsors logo, embroidered Manchester City crest and white sleeve sponsor detail.
Along with Spurs this is one of our favourite Premier League shirts to launch this summer. Dark blue with florescent yellow and light blue pin stripes, white Nike Swoosh, Manchester City crest and white sponsor logo and white sleeve sponsor on the left arm. The kit also has florescent yellow socks to match the pin stripes on the shirt. An all round, sick kit.
The third and final to complete the kit set is unusual, be we love it.
This predominantly purple number features a bright orange sash across the front of the kit. It has shades of the all purple 17/18 away shirt, while taking the orange and purple combination of their 16/17 third kit.
The kit also features a monochromatic club crest, but what makes this kit is the subtle graphic print of the Etihad Stadium and the surrounding area of Eastlands, similar to what’s on Spurs’ third.
This will be the shirt worn away from home in the Champions League this season.
So, that’s what we’re saying. The away kit is going to be very popular, one of the best City away kits we’ve seen in years. The home detail on the home kit makes it stand out from previous years as well and the Third’s unusual design is a winner.
