The main difference is the return of black to the home shirt and the switch back to black shorts and black socks. This is a throwback to the original 1878 kit when Manchester United were known as Newton Heath.
The new shirt is all red, with black collar, black 3 stripe detail on the sleeves and black horizontal lines towards the bottom of the shirt, seamlessly running into the all black shorts. The kit also features black socks, giving the team a completely fresh look for the 2018/19 season.
The new away shirt raised a few eyebrows when it was revealed and like marmite, you’re either going to love it or hate it. We love it, it’s bold, it’s different and something United haven’t done before. All pink with darker pink 3 stripe detail onthe sleeve, black adidas 3 stripe logo and Manchester United badge. The kit is based on a publication by local newspaper the Manchester Evening News called “The Pink”.
Our favourite of all the Manchester United kits. Based on the 1968 kit , 50 years since Manchester United became the first English team to win the European cup, the 3rd shirt. Navy blue with gold badge, gold adidas 3 stripe logo and gold sponsors logo.
All round, 3 really impressive kits from adidas. Can it take the team to a new level in 2018/19? We will have to wait and see!
That’s what we think, you can get your hands on this kit and all of the new 2018/19 season kits at Kitbag.
