Solange Knowles, born June 24, 1986, is a singer and artist, the younger sister of pop star Beyonce. Since the beginning, she’s been known for her boundary-pushing tastes and artistic style. Her first album was ‘Solo Star’ in 2002. ‘Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams’ followed in 2008, and her Grammy-winning album ‘A Seat at the Table’ came out in 2016. ‘When I Get Home’, her fourth, was released in March 2019.
Solange was married to Daniel Smith from 2004 to 2007, and they share a son. She wed Alan Ferguson in 2014, and the pair divorced in 2019.
The Knowles family drama became public when video of Solange attacking brother-in-law Jay-Z emerged after the 2014 Met Gala. Though what sparked the attack was never made public, many believe it had to do with Jay’s infidelity, which he later revealed in interviews and his 2017 album 4:44.
